Boas - The Coolest Snakes To Have
We love our boas, and you will too. These snakes are some of
the coolest animals to have, there are many different color and
pattern combinations. Most Boas are really good beginner
animals. Boas are generally smaller in size except for the few
that can grow into eating machines.
I have Broken the Boa
category into three different groups Beginner, Intermediate,
Expert to help you find the one that's right for you. Boas are
wonderful snakes and you'll find that owning one of our boas
would make you very proud, and amaze others.
Some boas may
require larger enclosures but most boas will do just fine in a
large terrarium. Many of these snakes enjoy burrowing area so
you may need to have some type of aspen bedding, but besides
that keep your temperatures between 75-85 degrees.
Beginner (smaller) Boas
Most of the smaller boas are excellent
snakes for the beginner snake handler, they usually don't need
as much attention and they are generally much cheaper to maintain.
These snakes are usually very calm and hand able.

Intermediate (large) Boas
Large boas are best for beginners to
intermediate snake lovers. Many of these snakes can grow in
excess of 10 ft and weigh quite a bit, but are awesome animals.
These snakes will go anywhere with you and you won't have a
problem from them. They are great to handle and become very nice
pets. The key to the larger boas is to handle them very often in
return they will grow to be very tame.

Expert Boas
Although Anacondas are not exactly part of the Boa
family, I have put them here because they are more similar to the
boas than to the pythons. These animals should only be handled
and owned by intermediate to expert snake lovers. These animals
can grow in excess of 30 ft, and can eat very expensive meals.
These aren't the best snakes to have as pets but, are wonderful,
they are the largest of the constrictors.
